Hi, I'm Aeris Peng, an RnB enthusiast who loves to look at and create beautiful artwork. I am currently a first year New Media Design major at the Rochester Institute of Technology. Most people describe me as a disciplined learner with a good eye for aesthetics. I am skilled in coming up with odd ideas as well as observational drawing. I enjoy bringing outlandish concepts to reality.
I find joy in reading books about psychological horror. Topics in books that I also find interesting include the human condition and the complexities of emotion. I also occasionally bake bread, however I would love to make madeleines in the near future. I occasionally do some performance arts as a hobby, like dancing, singing, and playing instruments.
I personally value perseverance and a sense of duty when interacting with others. When working with others, I admire people who have dedication and a sense of intuition. In the future, I aim to attain skills in many facets and types of design. In particular, I want to delve into 3D, user interface, and graphic design.
RnB
RINI
Favorite songs: My Favourite Clothes, Aphrodite, Red Lights
An element that I enjoy in RINI's music is his mix between instrumentals that, at times, sound vintage, and his clear voice. The slow rhythm of his music is probably one of the factors that caused me to associate some of his songs with nostalgic memories. It feels like a slow-moving memory that I can indulge myself in for a long time.
Bryson Tiller
Favorite songs: Sorrows, Could've Been (featured)
I know Bryson Tiller most for his interludes. Compared to RINI, his instrumentals tend to have more energy compared to RINI's more slow and relaxed rhythms. Bryson Tiller has many songs that are in the contemporary RnB genre, which is a genre I definitely enjoy.

Baking
Sometimes when I'm feeling a little frosty, I like to bake things. I make banana bread the most often, but I have also made cheesecake and apple pie on several occasions. If I were to be able to make anything I wanted, I would make shortbread cookies and madeleines.
When I'm baking I tend to use less sugar than is listed. In general, I really enjoy how everything is measured and precise in baking. For cooking, ingredients are more variable and the cooking times also vary. Baking also comes in handy as a skill because I can bake for special occasions.
Techniques that have always intrigued me about baking are the decorative aspect and alternatives for people without certain ingredients. Substituting oil for butter and baking cheesecake with a water bath are a few things that I have tried out. In the future, I think I can also step out of my comfort zone and start cooking without relying on very precise measurements.
